Not really a post, more a list of helpful websites designed to ease new residents through their first few days and weeks! I will add to this as time goes on so, if you have any helpful suggestions, please pass them on!

If you're new to Second Life, long-time Resident Huckleberry Hax published a very detailed beginner's guide to Second Life.
The official Second Life YouTube channel has lots of great video tutorials.
I get a lot of questions about shopping, (my favourite activity!), there’s a really good beginners guide to shopping here.
Similar Hucks article, here’s one written by Ryan Schultz, if you’ve arrived in Second Life, the first half won’t mean much however, there’s some really useful stuff in the second part, especially for the first few days and weeks. This article uses the Firestorm viewer.
Lots of people want to know where all the free stuff is, here’s a good starting point.

Another way of finding free stuff is to go to the Second Life Market Place and in the Keywords box, Type “freebie” or “promo” and you’ll find anything from homes to clothes to pets.
