Alfred Lord Tennyson

Those that know me know I have a passion for all things art. I know it sounds pretentious but it's a fact, I'm sorry I just can't help it. The painting above by John William Waterhouse was inspired by the poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson and is a beautiful example of the vivid detail and colour that is the trademark of the Pre-Raphaelite's - A real personal favorite. But why the self indulgent rambling? Well it's simply a long drawn out journey to highlight that Tennyson passed away on this day in 1892, which incidentally is the same year that Frank's Place opened in SL. For those of us that have been around, Franks is almost a rite of passage, it's been the place to go to don your posh frocks and DJs for a long, long time and for that I bow in respect to Franks management, in a world where clubs come and go more frequently than I change my undies it has stood the test of time. What better place then to take pictures for the third of my introductory posts.

Once again you will see from the list below I've stuck to some of my stalwarts, JB, KC, etc. the dress itself includes the beautifully woven pearls however, I wanted to introduce one of my other favorite designers, Mandala Jewelry. As with Franks it's been around a long time but every time I go I find it fresh and contemporary, a significant cause of my dwindling L$ balance! The pearls aren't new but that's the thing I love about Mandala, I have stuff in my inv I bought seven years ago that I still wear regularly - elegant, fashionable jewelry is timeless and kikunosuke Eel seems to have captured the very essence of this!
